The Reading Corner is an app for all children aged zero to ten. We believe that every child deserves to be read to for at least fifteen minutes every day. We currently offer over 2000 story time videos in multiple languages, with new titles being added every week. Each video brings the story to life with enchanting classical music and beautiful illustrations taken from the book. Aside from English and Spanish, we also have story time videos in Dutch, Arabic, Turkish and Polish.

Meet the team!
Anouk
In The Reading Corner, our founder Anouk has combined her two great loves: education and classical music. As CEO, she is fully committed to our mission to ensure that every child worldwide is read to. She leads our team, is one of our Dutch readers and comes up with new concepts and ideas to introduce children to the most beautiful children's books.
Anouk's favorite book is 'A Starlit Trip to the Library' from Chouette.
Anne
Anne is our COO and co-founder! This means that together with our CEO Anouk, she's at the helm of shaping and implementing The Reading Corner's strategy, while also managing the rest of the team. Anne focuses on the financial and legal side of The Reading Corner and the company's development!
Fun fact about Anne: she often watches our story time videos together with her kids! They love our exciting videos best and watch them over and over again.
Anne's favorite book is 'Kid Artists' from Quirk Books.
Femke
Who’s behind the camera when we record new story time videos? It’s Femke, our video editor and producer! She teams up with the readers to record the books in our own studio and edits the footage into the story time videos you know and love afterwards.
Femke's favorite book is 'My Shadow Is Pink' from Larrikin House.
Merel
Often hidden behind stacks of books on her desk is our editor, Merel! She's responsible for curating our collection of books and selecting matching pieces of music. Besides maintaining contacts with publishers, she is also responsible for the platform and writes our newsletters and copy. As soon as Femke finishes editing a story time video, Merel makes sure that the video is published in all the right places.
Merel's favorite book is 'Luis and Tabitha' from Familius.
Pascal
Pascal is responsible for sales in the Benelux region and ensures that we continue to grow close to home. He does this by brokering great partnerships and fun collaborations with parties in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg, which will encourage even more people to spend 15 minutes a day reading aloud!
Pascal's favorite book is 'Jacob's Music' from Wacky Bee Books.
Steyn
Steyn is Head of Partnerships and is always looking for new opportunities and new countries for The Reading Corner. For example, he made it possible for us to add French and German videos to our catalog!
Steyn's favorite book is Lit for 'Little Hands: A Christmas Carol' from Familius.
